The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability’s mission is to to develop and promote durable, effective, and equitable solutions to the climate change challenges confronting humanity.

BushWang began the design phase for this institute during the winter of 2024 and issued the documents for construction approximately 12 weeks later. The Suite features open work areas, enclosed offices, informal meeting spaces, a large conferencing area that can open up to serve all-staff assemblies and a large Staff Break Areas that serve this suite and other auxiliary Salata work areas.

The client’s preference for the fit-up of this space was to have a warm and sustainable wood aesthetic, coupled with large quantities of natural light that will flood the open work areas. BushWang accomplished this desired aesthetic with the design of wood cabinetry within the open Staff BReak Area, acoustic wood slat ceilings within key program areas, LVT and carpeted flooring and acoustic wood wall treatment within the open meeting areas and Conference Room.

The space was constructed in approximately 16 weeks and completed in the fall of 2024.
