New England BioLabs (NEB) was founded in the mid-1970s as a collective of scientists committed to developing innovative products for the life sciences industry. The laboratories on their main campus in Ipswich, MA more closely resemble those of a research institute than a biotech company and are quickly becoming close to their useful capacity. As a result, NEB is currently expanding their research and production facilities in the adjacent North Shore town of Rowley, MA.
The new 35,000 sf facility consists ISO 8/ Class 100,000 cGMP clean room laboratories, BL-2 research space, support areas, staff offices, conference/break zones, and administrative space. Additionally, the facility will be LEED-certified as part of NEB’s ongoing focus on sustainability and the environment.
BushWang is also involved with ongoing renovations of production facilities, research laboratories and support areas on the NEB main campus in Ipswich,MA.
